Holistic medicine is a whole-body approach to healthcare. It aims to improve health and wellness through the body, mind, and soul, the “treatment of the whole person”. Holistic derives from the Ancient Greek word “holos” which means “whole”.
If a person is healthy, he is in harmony with body, mind and soul, his environment and ultimately the world and cosmos. If there are disruptions or disruptive interactions on one of these levels, the person becomes ill.
Illness is therefore not an isolated phenomenon, but often the result of a long chain of unfavorable factors that ultimately exceed the individual's buffer systems and resources. Similar factors can lead to different diseases in different people. Conversely, there are different, individual reasons that have led to every disease in every person.
For a better illustration, here is an example:
Stress as one factor can cause stomach upset or ulcers in one person, back pain in another, and depression in another. Conversely, a stomach ulcer can also develop as a side effect of medication, back pain from lifting too heavy and depression from a bad experience that has not been dealt with. Due to the complexity of the development of diseases, holistic medicine never only considers the symptom, but rather the person as a whole in contact with his (environment) world.
Accordingly, you will find a wide variety of approaches in the therapeutic approaches that include all of these levels.
At the beginning of the therapy, I clarify in a detailed initial discussion with the people who come to me what symptoms, problems and therapy goals they have and which treatment approach is best suited for them.
"You have to do something good for the body,
so that the soul feels like living in it ”.
We provide a holistic approach to wellness and healing through different modalities which maximise the body's potential. We focus more on the underlying cause of your health concern, not just your symptoms. We look at many factors that contribute to your health, genetics, and lifestyle factors.
